Full House was a cute 90s sitcom about a widower whose brother-in-law and best friend move in with him to help him raise his three daughters out of the goodness of their hearts. They lived together in a cozy terrace house with a magically expanding attic, and a fully functioning recording studio good enough for The Beach Boys in the basement, and they never talked about rent splits, because their wholesome heteronormative love was all the needed to get by. I don’t know about you, but the last time I shared a house that crowded the only thing we all agreed on was the fact that the landlord should really fix the bottom stair so the giant rat we named Master Splinter would no longer have a place to party with his cockroach friends. Seriously though, we need a sitcom about a group of people fighting for more affordable housing, and less empty, foreign-owned, marble-floored mini-mansions masquerading as condos. It would definitely be better than Big Bang reruns.
